Welcome to Spring at Triana Community Easter Egg Hunt

TRIANA – The Town of Triana’s second annual Community Easter Egg Hunt promises to entertain children and please the adults as they watch the youngsters scramble for the most eggs.

The Easter egg hunt is scheduled on April 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. The Town of Triana in conjunction with St. Paul United Methodist Church, Triana Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America and the Triana Library will host the event.

The location of the egg hunt will be south of Triana Library on the football field of Flamingo Park. Guests will follow COVID-19 protocol.

“Bring your own basket,” contact person Levoneia Ayers said. “Plan to get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny.”

The egg hunts will be set up by age: two years and younger; three to five years; six and seven years old; eight- through 10-year-olds; and 11 years and older.

Organizers will provide free food to the crowd. Any resident or sponsor who wants to donate their time can stuff plastic eggs and pre-packaged candy inside the plastic eggs. Contact Alexis Toney at 256-278-1038.

“We plan to meet on Friday evening on April 1 at 6 p.m. to stuff the plastic eggs at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 620 Sixth St. in Triana. Plastic gloves will be provided for stuffing the plastic eggs, and masks will be required to be worn,” contact person Levoneia Ayers said.

“We look forward to your presence. See you there,” Ayers said.
