Major League Fishing To Fish Local Waters In 2024

MADISON- Professional fishing returns to North Alabama in 2024.

Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization producing more than 250 events annually, has announced its’ 2024 Toyota Series presented by Phoenix Boats with featured tournaments held in Scottsboro, Cullman and Huntsville. The Toyota Series will kick off Feb. 14-16 in Scottsboro with fishing on Lake Guntersville followed by the April 4-6 event in Cullman on Smith Lake with the Championship Tournament set for Nov. 7-9 in Huntsville with action taking place on the waters of Wheeler Lake.

“Located in the heart of bass fishing, we’re proud to host the Toyota Series Championship in Huntsville at Ditto Landing,” said Mac McCutcheon, Madison County Commission Chairman. “We look forward to welcoming the competitors to our area and providing a memorable championship experience on the Tennessee River.”

The series’ opening event in Scottsboro will be hosted by the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce while the Smith Lake tourney will be hosted by the Cullman County Tourism Bureau. The Championship Tournament will be hosted by the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Madison County Commission and the Huntsville Sports Commission.

“We’re thrilled to announce the 2024 Toyota Series schedule to competitors and fans and feel confident that we’re hitting some of the best fisheries in the country at great times of the year,” said Mark McWha, MLF Tournament Director. “We’re looking forward to seeing some really big weights at some of these events and are anticipating a great 2024 season.”

The Series will also make stops in Tennessee, Maryland, New York, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, California and Arizona before finishing right here in the Huntsville-Madison area.

Headquartered in Benton, Ky., the MLF roster of bass anglers includes the world’s top pros and more than 30,000 competitors in all 50 states and 13 countries since its founding in 2011.
