James Clemens thrashes Albertville at home

MADISON – The James Clemens Jets (6-3) crushed winless Albertville (0-8) on Friday at home 58-18 with overpowering defense and big plays on offense.

Running back Cam Berry helped pave the way for the Jets’ touchdown parade with his carries that gashed the Aggie defense that struggled to keep the elusive ball carrier corralled.

Berry’s signature plays were his 72-yard rushing TD in the first quarter and a 70-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

The public address announcer’s voice echoed the familiar words “Berry on the carry,” seemingly on loop as the Jets turned to number 3 in navy blue time after time.

James Clemens quarterback Ty Marsh was locked in with his sneak plays that kept Albertville off balance and netted the Jet signal caller two rushing scores in the victory.

The struggles continue for an Albertville team that has yet to get a W this year.

James Clemens’ 58 points tie Sparkman for the most scored in a game this season against the Aggies.

It’s a short week ahead for the Jets who next play on Thursday at Grissom.
