Women in Tech – Huntsville event to view business future, open scholarships

HUNTSVILLE – The Women in Tech – Huntsville organization, using the acronym WIT // HSV, is planning a review of the future of business and a launch event for the 2024 toBE FUND Scholarship and Grant Awards.

The event, scheduled for March 27 at 5:30 p.m., will be held at the Invention to Innovation Center or I2C, 850 Ben Graves Drive at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

“Join us at the 2024 WIT //HSV kick-off event as we delve into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future of business,” I2C Director Rigved P. Joshi said.

“Dive into ‘Artificial Intelligence Insights: Illuminating the Path to Business Evolution’ while networking with our fabulous WIT // HSV community,” Joshi said. “Discover how AI reshapes staffing, training, business intelligence, operations and ethics.”

Joshi encourages residents “not to miss your chance to forge valuable connections and stay ahead in the AI-driven future while you enjoy great food and drinks at the I2C.”

Guests will check in and have networking conversations from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A panel discussion for the AI Insights topic will include local professionals: Christine Bone, Managing Director – Strategy & Innovation, Accenture; Melissa DeVore, Senior Vice President – Employee Experience, Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation; and Chanler Crowe Cantor, Digital Engineer, Intuitive.

The important launch of the 2024 toBE FUND Scholarship and Grant Awards will occur at 7:15 p.m. Officials have dedicated the toBE FUND to empowering women in STEM.

The name “toBE” reflects the philosophy that women should have the power “to BE” whatever they aspire to be — skilled, ambitious, strong, empowered, successful and much more. (wit-hsv.org/funding)

The free event is open to all women. Seating is limited. Organizers will provide food and drinks; IDs will be required for wine and beer.

Guests must RSVP to indicate intent to attend. To RSVP, visit lnkd.in/e72EtM9s.

Organizers acknowledged support for the 2024 Women in Tech // HSV from sponsors: Accenture, Exiger, Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, Maynard Nexsen PC, SAIC, Signalink Inc. and Sinequa.

Alice Lessman, CEO with Signalink Inc. at 1208 Slaughter Road in Madison, participates with the WIT // HSV Leadership Committee. “Additionally, Signalink is the main sponsor for the toBE FUND Scholarships and Grants, which we will be announcing at this event,” Joshi said. (Signalink.us)
