MADISON – Designed to be a support group for spouses of male coaches, the 2025 Behind The Bench Ladies’ Huddle is set for those women in that designated group, but is also open to all women. Hosted by the Northeast Alabama Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Ladies’ Huddle will be held Friday, Sept. 26 beginning at noon at the Rocket City Tavern located at 2100 Rideout Road, which is part of public access area called Redstone Gateway just outside the confines of Redstone Arsenal’s Gate 9.

Lunch will be provided for attendees, but seating is limited. To register, call or text 256-509-3692 or e-mail karmstrong@fca.org.

The Ladies’ Huddle will feature guest speaker Courtney Blakely Denton, director of Mercy and Woman’s Ministries at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, S.C. and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Advisor on the national PCA Women’s Ministry Team. Denton is also founder of the Life House Women’s Shelter and author of the KICKSTAND Devotionals.

Denton, married to husband Alex and together have two children, provides help and hope to women in need in an array of circumstances. She has stressed her calling in life has always been serving the needs of others which she is said is an outpouring of the mercy, grace and love she has been shown by God. She indicated her desire is to equip and encourage women with the understanding of their God-given design and to live a life transformed by the Gospel.

Having a special place to learn more about today’s women is the FCA Ladies’ Huddle, which is free, but FCA asks for a $20 donation.
