The contestants will gather at Madison Community Center, 1329 Brown’s Ferry Road, on Feb. 7, 2026, for the state tournament.

This rated State Championship will have three sections: grades K-12; K-6; and K-3. The winner of the K-12 Section will represent Alabama at the Ruth Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions.

Madison City Chess League or MCCL expressed thanks to State Sen. Arthur Orr and the Madison County Legislative Delegation as sponsors again this year for the 2026 Alabama All-Girls State Chess Championship.

At the All-Girls Championship, the K-12 Section will have round times at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Its time control will be Game 45/d5 (4SS).
