Madison Methodist to host fourth annual Gifts of Grace Craft Fair

MADISON – The Madison Methodist Women will hold their annual Gifts of Grace Marketplace on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church located on 127 Church St.

The marketplace will feature 42 vendors selling a variety of homemade items, including soaps, candles, jewelry, paintings and baked goods. A vendor selling live plants will also be on-site.

“We are excited about the variety of vendors we have this year. Quite a few of them have attended every year,” organizer Carol Moats said. “We are excited to add several vendors this year who will custom-make items while you wait.”

Tickets for door prizes will be sold at the door, giving patrons a chance to win vendor prizes. To enhance the shopping experience with vendors, the event organizers have introduced a “passport.”

“When a patron’s passport card is filled with a stamp from each vendor, they will turn the card in to receive a special thank you gift,” Moats said.

The Charity Cafe will be open, offering hot soups and side items. All items can be purchased as to-go orders.

The event is not just a way for locals to shop with unique vendors, but also a way for the Madison Methodist Women to raise funds to support the church’s youth, children and preschool ministries, as well as local nonprofits. This year’s recipients include the Community Free Dental Clinic, Grandparents as Parents (GAP) and Honoring Veteran Legacies.

“The three non-profits we chose this year are involved with underserved people in our community, and they reflect our interests in making life better for all,” Moats said. “We support their efforts and feel we can also get their mission out to others in Madison and the surrounding area.”
