City of Madison announces amnesty day for misdemeanors and traffic citations

The City of Madison will hold an amnesty court date for anyone with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, including traffic citations.

Anyone who believes they may have an active warrant is encouraged to call the Madison Municipal Court at (256) 772-5617 to confirm their status or appear before a judge on March 4 at 8 a.m.

In most cases, jail time can be avoided. This process will allow the city to clear more than 200 outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
