Broadway Theatre League plans exciting 2026-27 season lineup

HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville’s Broadway Theatre League (BTL) has revealed its lineup for the upcoming 2026–2027 season, featuring a blend of Huntsville premieres, beloved classics and family favorites. The new season is set to highlight the diversity and richness of the theatrical arts.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:

Waitress

September 25–27, 2026

Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as “The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie” and “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.” When a baking contest in a nearby county — and a satisfying encounter with someone new — show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical

November 20–22, 2026

This groundbreaking twist on The Wizard of Oz changed the face of Broadway—from its iconic score packed with soul, gospel, rock, and 70s funk to its stirring tale of Dorothy’s journey to find her place in a contemporary world.

The Notebook

Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, THE NOTEBOOK tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. “Full of butterfly-inducing highs and beautiful songs” (Entertainment Weekly), THE NOTEBOOK is a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.
