Calhoun's ACT Center announces new program
The ACT Center at Calhoun Community College today announced a new service to students and adults looking to succeed in a career.
This new service is an on-line tool designed to help determine the skills required for specific jobs. The on-line program combines career exploration with a database of the skills required in more than 1,400 American occupations and is now available free on ACT's web site. The program is located at http://www.act.org/wwm/.
Calhoun names Hamilton as interim president
Calhoun Community College Vice President Dr. Theresa Hamilton will serve as the college's interim president until a permanent president is appointed. Her appointment began Aug. 1. She replaced Dr. Ed Hartsell as interim president – who took over after President Dr. Richard Carpenter resigned to become president of the Wisconsin technical college system.
