Record Managing Editor
An antique tractor parade will be among the many highlights featured at the annual Antique Farm Machinery Show and Swap Meet in downtown Madison on Saturday.
The Madison Optimist Club sponsors the annual event, with support from the City of Madison and the Madison Historical Society.
To get the events under way, a pancake breakfast at Bandito Burrito on Main Street will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. The event will showcase a variety of antique engines, tractors, horse drawn equipment, parts, and a tractor parade. Admission is free.
New to the event will be a flea market and an arts and crafts show on Main Street. For those interested in participating in the event, there is a $20 setup fee for the flea market and arts and crafts show. Applications and information can be obtained by calling Gale Ferguson at 232-4833 or Janet Prater at 232-4086.
For information about the show, call Walt Anderson at 837-9789 (evenings), Larry Vest at 837-7437 (evenings), and Wayne Tribble at 232-6248 (anytime), or Marshall Springer at 232-4885 (anytime).
Everyone is welcome to attend.
