Helen Barber; Sept. 16, 2010

Helen Y. Barber, 79, of Madison passed away Sept. 16 at a local hospital.

She was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son Brian R. and wife Kimberley M. Barber; granddaughters, Britney Lynn Barber and Kelly Barber; brothers, Kenneth Ray and wife Jean Smith, Dallas and wife Beverly Smith; sister, Carol A. Lauf; and sister-in-law, Barb Eads.

A memorial mass was at 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Phil O’Kennedy officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, N.C. 27513.
