Lynn Taylor; Oct. 10, 2010

Lynn Wesley Taylor, 80, of Madison passed away Sunday, Oct. 10 at Huntsville Hospital.

Funeral services were held Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Madison with the Rev. Ronnie Brewer officiating. Burial was in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Visitation was Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Taylor was born Jan. 12, 1930 in Cullman County to the late James Montgomery Taylor and Dora Penn Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired after 27 years of service with Bill Penny Motor Company. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Bentley Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Wood Taylor of Madison; two daughters, Sundra Taylor Keck and husband Mike of Decatur and Lesia Taylor Stowe and husband Jimmy of Decatur; son, Phillip Keith Taylor and wife Jenny; two stepdaughters, Rev. Diane Wood of Auburn, Linda Wood Turner and husband Zach of Huntsville; two stepsons, Travis Wood and wife Deidre of Madison and Charles Wood and wife Missy of Huntsville; three sisters, Mary Jo Reid of Cullman, Geneva Price of Stillwaters and Linda Rhodes of Tallassee; six grandchildren, Tiffany Sims and husband Eddie, Taylor Keck, Julia Taylor and husband Sam, Sara Taylor, Emily Taylor, Jeremy Stowe and wife Mindi; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie Sims and Luca Taylor; five step-grandchildren, Meg Lawson, Heath Wood, Cody Wood, Rebecca Purcell and husband Patrick, Christopher Boggs and wife Erin; and two step-great-grandchildren, Mary and Brian Boggs.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, Perry County Missions, 1088 Hughes Road Madison, AL 35758
