Asbury Community Thrift Store changes location

The Asbury Community Thrift Store is moving from the Madison Pike location to 925 Portal Lane in Madison.

The thrift store still gives back to the community as your hand helping your neighbors.  Visit the new location on opening day Saturday, June 25 and shop around the spacious store. ? ?

Donations such as washers, dryers and other appliances are currently needed. Donations are tax deductible and may be dropped off at the new drop off location garage door, or have the items picked up from your business or home by calling 256-464-0460. ? ?

The donations given to the Asbury Community Thrift Store and the purchases made there go to help Red Bird Mission, Royal Family Kids’ Camps, Inc., Society of St. Vincent DePaul, Men on a Mission, Madison Assistance Project for Elderly and Homebound, Inside Out Ministries, HEALS, Inc (Dental & Medical Clinic), Harvest Boys & Girls Club, Christian Women’s Job Corps, Choose Life of North Alabama, CARES, Bob Jones High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Bob Jones High School’s Drama Team, Asbury Counseling Center, Asbury Benevolence Fund, 305 8th Street and Agape Prison Ministries, Inc.? ?

The Asbury Community Thrift Store is the answer to a teacher who has a student with no coat in the winter.  It is the answer to the single parent who cannot seem to make enough money to clothe the kids for school.

It is the answer for a person who needs a job to change the direction of their life.  It is the answer for the lonely senior citizen who just needs a hug and a word of affirmation.   It is the answer to funds for Royal Family Kids’ Camps to help neglected and abused kids each summer.

It is the answer to many of the problems in our immediate community.

The funds earned through your donations go to help many local people both monetarily and with goods.  ? ?To learn more about the Asbury Community Thrift Store visit http://www.asburyumc.ws/thriftstore.htm.
