‘We hear you America’ campaign launched

AMY BUTLER

Reader’s Digest has launched its second annual “We Hear You America” campaign to help local areas have the chance to win special donations and funds ranging from $1,000 to $50,000. The process is easy and all driven by an online voting system and your help to get the word out on this great community.

Last year, Huntsville was among one of the cities that Reader’s Digest came to visit and was granted a generous $1,000 donation for the city. You have another chance to help your hometown gain another donation or even more funds to spark new and/or underfunded projects that make our community a better place to live.

“The We Hear You America campaign is about giving back to the people and towns that have meant so much to Reader’s Digest over the years,” said Dan Lagani, president of Reader’s Digest North. “Cities, towns, and villages across our country continue to face economic challenges. Reader’s Digest is bringing back We Hear You America to help these communities get the attention they deserve.”

Rosie Scott , a Reader’s Digest representative, said Huntsville and Madison are great candidates for winning one of the top grant awards after they were issued the $1,000 award last year.

“Huntsville has shown a lot of spirit and pride and has a chance to win more even this year,” Scott said.

All you have to do is go online to Readersdigest.com/america and place your vote. The more votes that are placed, the better chance your community has to win. Along with your votes, you have the opportunity to really showcase Huntsville and Madison by uploading pictures and telling your story on why your town would be a great choice for this grant. Reader’s Digest has offered to do a piece in their publication for the winning city to show America what a great place you live in.

This is your chance Madison County to help your community through this grassroots initiative that has given you the opportunity to empower your voice.
