Jimmy Lee “Truck” Mayo; Jan. 5, 2012

Jimmy Lee “Truck” Mayo of Madison passed away Thursday, Jan. 5 at a local hospital. He was 63.

Mr. Mayo was a native of Tunica, Miss., and a resident of Madison County since 1994. A retired carpenter, he was a member of Brothers of The Third Wheel R.C. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Aaron L. Mayo; his parents, Victor Lee and Elizabeth Gertrude Mayo; and his brother, Clyde Leon Mayo.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Ann Mayo of Madison; one son, Jason Mayo of Madison; two step-daughters, Vanessa Neyra of Laporte, Texas, and Adriana Neyra-Solis (Luis) of Madison; one sister, Bonnie Davenport of Madison; three step-grandchildren, Isaac Neyra, Emma Solis-Neyra and Emily Solis-Neyra; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best furry friend, Mambo.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain James Cafferdy and the Rev. Mike Rogers officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m. in Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman County with Berryhill Funeral Home directing.
