Maxine Nix Brock; Jan. 28, 2012

Maxine Nix Brock, 86, of Madison passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living in Madison.

Mrs. Brock was born March 27, 1925 in Belmont, Miss. to A.M. and Tinie Strickland Nix.

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lowery Anderson Brock who passed in 1977; her sisters Viola Knight and Polly Anderson; brothers A.M. Nix Jr. and Guy Nix.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Lynn Patterson and her husband Weldon of Madison, and several nieces and nephews. She was fun loving, witty and a caring lady who loved to cook. Her zest for life helped her through her long illness. She loved her husband and daughter very much and will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 2 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Buchanan officiating.
