Update: Man leads Madison police on chase

Man is arrested following a brief foot chase (courtesy Waff48)

Madison Police have arrested a man after he led them on a chase.

Madison police attempted to stop Gregory Sykes, 38, of Madison for a routine traffic stop. Sykes then lead the officers on a chase down Madison Boulevard to Shelton Road and onto Westscott Drive where the driver pulled into his residence.

He surrendered just after 11 a.m. this morning after without further incident.  He was arrested and transported to jail on misdemeanor Reckless Endangerment, Attempting to Elude and numerous traffic violations.
