MADISON — In just a few short months, Veronique Couverchel has turned a six-year hobby into a full-fledged business.

The owner of  “A La Tour Eiffel”, which means “Eiffel Tower” in French, said her passion for framing began after a career at Redstone Arsenal. Since opening up in January of this year, Couverchel’s passion has become the business she had always imagined.

However the Paris, France native said she look’s at her business in a different light.

“I really look at it as sort of an art form,” she said. “I absolutely love working with the customer in finding the perfect frame for them. Everything is ordered to the customer’s need. I just love what I do.”

Everything from baptismal gowns to sports jerseys are able to be framed at the 181 Hughes Road, Suite 9 location. Couverchel said her expertise is not limited to just framing.

“We specialize in embroidery and canvas stretching,” she said. “I can also provide shadowboxes for certain items as well.”

So far, the most items Couverchel has framed are posters. Military memorabilia, flags and other mementos are also popular items that Couverchel has framed.

Couverchel said consultation has been vital the entire time she has been open and that it will be key down to road to making her customers happy.

“When someone brings a picture in, I try to  help them pick the perfect mat,” she said. “By the time I am done, I love seeing their reaction. Knowing that I have provided them with satisfaction is where I get the joy out of what I do.”

For more information, call Couverchel at 256-325-6787 or 256-724-2577.
