County schools start budget hearings

HUNTSVILLE – The Madison County Board of Education will hold the first of two budget hearings for fiscal year 2014 on Aug. 22 at 5:15 p.m.

The board will meet in the Central Office for Madison County Schools at 1275 Jordan Road in Huntsville. The state of Alabama requires the public hearings for the budget.

At their Sept. 12 meeting, the board will hear a brief update on the budget and then vote on approving or rejecting the plan. The public is invited.
