Band director Keith Anderson and the Jets Band will bring their music and spirit from marching season at competitions and football games to the James Clemens auditorium at 7 p.m.

“I promise you’ll have a great time at this one-of-a-kind event,” Anderson said. Stuart Tankesley is assistant band director and choir director at James Clemens.

At Sounds of the Stadium, guests can bid on merchandise in a silent auction. Following the concert, the band boosters will present a dessert reception.

The band, drumline and color guard will perform “‘The National Anthem,’ all of our offense and defense cheers, as well as many different stands tunes including ‘Chameleon,’ ‘Play That Funky Music,’ ‘Boogie Shoes,’ ‘Living on a Prayer’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,'” Anderson said.

The concert will include the U.S. Armed Forces medley, “Salute to America’s Finest,” and the 2013 marching program, “XIII,” a musical study of superstitions.

“We plan to feature our auxiliaries during the halftime performance portion of the program, but how they are featured will be revealed that evening,” Anderson said. James Clemens teachers Kendra Harper and Olivia Karr are the Jets Color Guard instructors.

This fall, James Clemens attended the Southern Hospitality Marching Festival in Hartselle and the Tennessee Valley Invitational in Muscle Shoals. In Hartselle, the Jets received superior ratings in all captions, “Best in Class” Dance Team and tied for second overall in their class.

“At Muscle Shoals, during preliminaries we received superiors in all captions,” Anderson said. The Jets dance team, drum major Emily Wittig and soloist Maggie White all received “Best in Class” honors.

“We also qualified for the finals competition, where we received the bronze medal, and our dance team was awarded ‘Best Overall,'” Anderson said.

Advance tickets are $8 or $10 at the door.
