Area Resident Receives Alabama Home Builders Foundation Scholarships

One Madison resident is among this year’s receipients of scholarships from the Alabama Home Builders Foundation. The recipients is as follows:

Matthew Herrell of Madison, son of William and Sharon Herrell, studying surveying and geomatics at Troy University.

The Alabama Home Builders Foundation scholarship program was created in order to help alleviate the qualified labor shortage. To apply for an Alabama Home Builders Foundation Scholarship, you must be a resident of Alabama; enrolled in, or attending, a junior college, technical school or university in Alabama; and you must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum. Examples of such curricula include brick masonry, carpentry, cabinet making and plumbing.
