A Madison pedestrian was killed in a one-car collision on May 26. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – Madison Police Department confirms a vehicle collision on May 26 that involved a fatality.

On May 26 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Madison police Officers responded to a collision on Old Madison Pike involving a pedestrian fatality. The collision occurred near the intersection of Old Madison Pike and Crestview Drive.

Emergency personnel transported the pedestrian to Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department. “Madison Police Department extends our deepest sympathies to the family,” according to a department statement.

Madison police officers have identified the pedestrian involved in the fatal collision as 20-year-old John Christopher Jones-Salter of Madison. The vehicle was driven by 25-year-old Warren Mason of Huntsville.

The collision is still under investigation. No further information is available for release at this time. However, police officers will release additional information as soon as it is available.
