MADISON – Vincent Franz Colon enjoys soccer more than any other sport. In fact, he likes all aspects of the game.
Vincent plays for the Hurricanes in AYSO 498, group U-10. Usually, he plays forward or goalie. Jeff Dickerson has been Vincent’s coach for three years.
In addition, Vincent played flag football this summer with Upward Sports. In most games, he was a receiver.
Vincent is a third-grader at Horizon Elementary School. For now, soccer is his only extracurricular activity; when he’s old enough, Vincent will participate in LEGO Robotics.
Vincent’s parents are Aaron H. Franz and Rebecca Colon Franz. Aaron works as a systems program analyst III with Trident Technologies. Rebecca, a stay-at-home mom, actively volunteers at school and church. She serves as Vice President of Volunteers for Horizon PTA and is a member of the Daughters of the King and Stephen Ministry at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
Vincent’s older brother Gabriel is an eighth-grader at Discovery Middle School. Gabriel has competed twice with LEGO Robotics and participates with RUFF (Ready yoUrself For the Future) leadership group.
Vincent has a pet dog named Pax, a six-year-old black-and-white English springer spaniel.
“We moved here in July 2010 from central Florida. Aaron found a job working on Army helicopters on Redstone Arsenal. He worked there for three years before finding his analyst job at Trident Technologies,” Rebecca said.
