MADISON – Deonte Gray plays the positions of point guard and shooting guard for Bob Jones Patriots Basketball.
“My favorite sport is basketball. I like it so much because that’s all I did was play basketball when I was young. It’s just a fun sport to play,” Gray said. He is a senior at Bob Jones High School.
Deonte has three siblings. His older brother is Diamond Burt, 20, a student at A&M University. His sister Dana Burt, 16, attends Jemison High School. His younger brother Jeremiah Burt, 7, attends James Dawson Elementary School.
“We moved to Madison like in 2009,” Gray said. “Watching Levi Randolph when I was little, I always wanted to go to Bob Jones so I wanted to stay in Madison until I graduate,” he said. Other family members subsequently moved to Huntsville.
Deonte’s mother works at Huntsville Utilities.
