Steward served two tours in Korea, also in Kuwait

MADISON – Sergeant (P) Patience Steward joined the U.S. Army in August 1992. “My rank when I separated from service in March 2003 was Sergeant (P),” Steward said.

After Basic Training at Fort Jackson, S.C., her duty assignments included Fort Polk, La.; Fort Hood, Texas; Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Ga.; and Fort Campbell, Ky.

In addition, Steward deployed on two separate, yearlong PCS’s to Korea at Camp Humphreys and Camp Eagle and an assignment to Kuwait.

“My family and I moved to Madison in December 2014 because my spouse Aristoteles Steward retired from the Army after 21 years of service, and he wanted to reside here to raise our children, Aristoteles II and Jhurnee,” she said.

Patience Steward’s hometown is Youngstown, Ohio.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in human services management from University of Phoenix. Steward works as a Veteran’s Resource Connection Counselor with Still Serving Veterans in Huntsville.

Her husband Aristoteles retired as an Army Blackhawk pilot and currently works as a manager at Frito Lay/Pepsico Inc. in Fayetteville, Tenn.

“I have three children: William Jeremie Dotson, currently deployed but stationed in Germany in U.S. Air Force; Aristoteles II, eleventh-grader at James Clemens High School on swim and dive team; and Jhurnee Solei, a James Clemens sophomore and saxophonist in band,” she said.

Steward volunteers with American Red Cross, Downtown Rescue Mission and the Children’s Ministry and Community Outreach at Cornerstone Word of Life Church on Sullivan Street in Madison.

“My interests are creating new decor looks for my home (Pinterest being my best pal), outdoor recreational activities (interests change with the weather) and hanging out with my family and friends,” she said.
