Madison Academy second-half stampede keys win over Brewer

PRICEVILLE – Madison Academy broke open a tight game with 35 unanswered points to take a 45-7 Class 5A Region 8 win last Friday night at Brewer.

Kyle Minor had three touchdown catches from two quarterbacks in the win.

Quarterback Luke Nail tossed two TD passes to Minor and Avery Seaton combined with Minor and Daniel Brent on scoring catches. Seaton also scored on a 15-yard run and Brent had a 5-yard TD run.

Eli Terrell kicked a 23-yard field late in the second quarter to give the Mustangs (3-1, 2-0) a 10-7 lead at the half. Madison Academy scored 21 points in the third quarter to put the game away.

Brewer (2-1, 1-1) scored on a Tanner Cobb touchdown halfway through the second quarter to tie the score.

Madison Academy hosts Ardmore and the Patriots visit Madison County on Friday.
