UPDATE: HPD arrests three for double homicide on Triana Boulevard

HUNTSVILLE — A man and woman in their 20s were discovered deceased the evening of Sept. 21 in a home at Merrimac Manor Mobile Home Community, located in the 4500 block of Triana Boulevard.

The victims are Shawntia Jackson, 22, and Dajun Hardy-Sellers, 24. The case is being treated as a double homicide investigation.

According to Lt. Michael T. Johnson of the Huntsville Police Department, HPD responded to a call around 9:15 p.m. Sept. 21 concerning two bodies in a home on the property. Johnson said a child in the mobile home community approached witnesses to tell them two people were dead in the home. Upon arrival, officers located the bodies of Jackson and Hardy-Sellers.

According to Sgt. Tony McElyea, three arrests have been made in Huntsville for this homicide case. On Sept. 24, Tyree Mylik Castile, 22, and two juveniles, whose information cannot be released, “were all seen as complicit in this murder.” McElyea said in a news release that all three suspects have been charged with Capital Murder and are now being held in the Madison County Jail with no bond.

“The investigation has led major crimes investigators to believe this crime was drug-related,” McElyea said in the news release.
