Country singer-songwriters Lee Brice, Randy Houser to headline Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s 31st annual Huntsville Classic May 9

HUNTSVILLE – Two country stars will be headlining its 31st annual Huntsville Classic, Thursday, May 9, 8:30 p.m. at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena.

Singer-songwriters Lee Brice and Randy Houser will perform together for a crowd of more than 5,000 at this year’s Huntsville Classic: An Acoustic Evening with Lee Brice and Randy Houser. This will be an exciting new format for the longstanding event, with both artists performing their hits acoustically and sharing the inspiration behind their songs.

Both Brice and Houser bring with them years of chart toppers and award nominations. Brice has sold more than 12 million albums and singles, with five No. 1 hits including “A Woman Like You,” “Hard To Love,” “I Drive Your Truck,” “I Don’t Dance” and “Drinking Class.” He has also written songs for stars like Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and more. Brice is a two-time GRAMMY nominee, and was awarded CMA Song of the Year for “I Drive Your Truck” in 2014.  He is also a double ACM award winner for “I Don’t Dance” (2015).

Houser has racked up four No. 1 hits with more than four million singles sold. He topped the charts with his hits “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight”, “How Country Feels”, “Goodnight Kiss”, and “We Went”. Houser was nominated for three CMA Awards, including Song of the Year for “Like a Cowboy” in 2015. He has also written songs for artists like Trace Adkins and Justin Moore.

“We think this year’s Classic concertgoers and dinner guests will be blown away by the talent on stage,” said Ginney McDonald, 2019 Huntsville Classic co-chairman. “We can’t wait to see these two solo artists combine for a great show, all to benefit a wonderful cause.”

Tickets for the 31st annual Huntsville Classic are still available and can be purchased at the VBC Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Concert tickets are priced at just $15, $20 and $25.

The Classic will begin with dinner on the Arena floor prior to the concert. Tickets for dinner and the Brice and Houser performance are $200 per person and can be purchased by calling the Foundation office at (256) 265-8077. A limited number are available.
