Mountain Lakes tourist group honors Honeycutt

MADISON – Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association has honored a Madison personality as a North Alabama Elite Tourism Professional.

Pam Honeycutt, Executive Director of Madison Chamber of Commerce, earned the recognition as a tourism promoter who demonstrates outstanding customer service and hospitality in the 16-county region of North Alabama that the association represents.

Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association presented the awards during National Travel and Tourism Week.

During the past 20-plus years, Honeycutt has worked in the communications arena with experience in marketing, public relations and corporate communications. She has trained others for leadership and development skills and has coached numerous corporate executives in presentation skills.

Pam graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia Tech with Highest Honors and received a bachelor’s degree in management and a minor in industrial psychology. Honeycutt has four children — Chase, Miranda, Lauren and Drew.

Other Madison County professionals who received the honor are Teresa Taylor White with Yedla Management and Regina Burnett with Grille 29.

“The North Alabama Elite Tourism Professional award recognizes those members who go above and beyond in their service, involvement and engagement with visitors to the North Alabama region,” association president/CEO Tami Reist.
