“Pour it Pink” to raise money for local breast cancer Fund

HUNTSVILLE – Pour It Pink, hosted by Huntsville Hospital Foundation, will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Stovehouse, 3414 Governors Dr. SW. The event will kick off the 2019 Liz Hurley Ribbon Run, and will feature a special pink drink menu from Pourhouse, exclusive merchandise, music and a reveal of the 2019 race artwork by local artist Renee Prasil.

“This year’s artwork is unlike anything you have seen in the past 16 years of Ribbon Run,” said Ashley Lawson, Ribbon Run event coordinator. “This is going to be a reveal and a party you do not want to miss. We can’t wait to celebrate our breast cancer survivors and to kick off the race in a big way at Stovehouse.”

Pour It Pink is free to attend and open to all ages. The artwork reveal will take place at 6:15 p.m. with special remarks by Liz Hurley, founder of the Foundation’s Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund and Liz Hurley Ribbon Run.

To learn more, visit the Facebook event on Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Facebook page.

Proceeds from the pink drink menu and exclusive merchandise will benefit the 2019 Ribbon Run and breast cancer patients in our community.

The 16th annual Liz Hurley Ribbon Run is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, with the Survivors’ Walk at 8 a.m. and 5K race at 8:30 a.m. For more information or to register for the race, please visit lizhurleyribbonrun.org.

Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund

WAFF 48 news anchor Liz Hurley established the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation in 1999 following her own fight against breast cancer. Thanks to generous supporters of the fund, almost $5.4 million has been raised to support breast cancer awareness programs and to equip Huntsville and Madison Hospitals’ Breast Centers with the latest diagnostic technology.
