Madison’s River of Hope to be completed with special online presentation Friday

MADISON – The final stone in Madison’s River of Hope at Dublin Park will be laid Friday morning by Mayor Paul Finley.

The project, which has brought together several non-profits, businesses, city leaders, school groups and families has gained a lot of steam over the past few weeks as people came together to commemorate the way the Madison community has worked hand-in-hand in responding to COVID-19.

Madison Visionary Partners (MVP), who has led the project, will be joined Friday morning by officials with the City of Madison, Rotary Club of Madison, Madison Chamber of Commerce, Madison City Schools, the Madison Chapter of American Legion, Just Serve.org, local businesses, volunteers and local citizens. They will lay their last rocks and share their thoughts and hopes about this historic time.

The event will be livestreamed starting at 9 a.m. through the MVP Facebook page.

Officials, business and community representatives included in the presentation will be:

Mayor Paul Finley, City of Madison

Beth Sippel, Chair of Madison Visionary Partners

Dana Chambers, Madison citizen and Artistic Director of Madison River of Hope

Alice and Steve Lessmann, CEO and President of local business Signalink
