Trash Pandas Release 2021 Schedule- Home Opener Set For May 11

 MADISON- With the announcement of the 2021 schedule of Rocket City Trash Pandas baseball, the feel of the inaugural season of action for the eight-team Double-A South League is closer to reality. The Trash Pandas have announced its new restructured schedule with each series during the season played Tuesday through Sunday.

The 2021 season begins in Chattanooga for the Trash Pandas as they’ll face the Lookouts May 4-9. The home opener of the Trash Pandas at Toyota Field is set for Tuesday, May 11 against the Tennessee Smokies. First-pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. The opening game will feature a spectacular fireworks show, a Toyota Field replica giveaway and more to be announced at a later date.

Trash Pandas President and CEO, Ralph Nelson, said, “We have worked extremely hard to create a fan experience deserving of the unprecedented support our fans have given us. The 2021 season will be very special and we can’t wait.”

The 2021 Minor League Baseball season was revamped by Major League Baseball as the former Southern League is officially disbanded and changed into an eight-team South League. The Trash Pandas have recently signed a 10-year affiliation with its parent club the Los Angeles Angels.

The complete schedule consist of 120 total games with 60 home games at Toyota Field. Special promotions will be featured throughout the season with the schedule announced soon.

“It’s been a long year and we’ve done everything but host Trash Pandas baseball,” said Lindsey Knupp, Vice President of Marketing for the Trash Pandas. “We couldn’t be more excited to finally welcome and entertain fans her at Toyota Field.”
