Sponsors are lifeblood of Madison Street Festival

MADISON – Madison Street Festival or MSF, the town’s signature event, covers one day, the first Saturday in October. However, the eight hours on that day require months of planning, promoting and scheduling by MSF volunteers, and endorsement by local businesses and companies.

“Registration has opened for our vendor areas. Our planning for the 2022 festival is in full swing,” MSF President Crystal McBrayer said.

Madison’s business and health communities have committed to assist the festival.

Sponsors to-date are Children’s Area, Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates; Teen Zone, Durham Orthodontics; Entertainment Stage, Madison Hospital; Community Showcase Stage, The Orthopedic Center; Student Art Tent, Freedom Real Estate; Parade, Madison Pediatric Dentistry; Artist Alley, North Alabama Gas District; Car Show, Polaris; Business Showcase, Legacy Health Chiropractic; Committee T-Shirt, Pearl Behavioral Health Services; Map, Matt Curtis Real Estate; Volunteer T-Shirt, Redstone Federal Credit Union; Shuttle Stop, HomeTown Lenders and Homes Realty Huntsville; Dog Watering Station, Hollywood Feed; Strolling Characters, Summit 7; Information Trailer, Keller Williams Realty; and Entrance, Embry Group Real Estate.

“Friends of the Festival” are Eva Bank and Piedmont Pools. In-Kind Sponsors include Crown Services of Alabama; Bicycle Cove; Sharp Communication; Allied Contractor Equipment; Tate Services; Republic Services; Torch; Home Lenders; All Things Madison;KeeKee360design; and Just Serve.

These donations help MSF sections like the parade. “Celebrate” is the 2022 MSF Parade theme. “We’re hoping to have Bob Jones and James Clemens bands,” McBrayer said.

To register for the parade, visit madisonstreetfestival.org/parade. “We’ll cut off registration when areas are full or July 15,” McBrayer said.

“We’re still finalizing our bands and entertainers (for) two stages: the Community Showcase Stage on Main Street near Sullivan Street and Entertainment Stage on Church Street,” McBrayer said.

Registration remains open for Artist Alley, Business Showcase, Crafters Cove, Community Showcase, and Food. To view registration requirements and pricing, visit madisonstreetfestival.org/vendors.

Everyone anticipates festival foods, with pizza to pita and barbecue to burgers. Food trucks and longtime vendors will return, along with the new area for Cottage Food Law participants. Visitors can enjoy their snacks in chairs and tables on Main Street and other spots.

To ease parking needs, a free shuttle service will transport people to and from the festival. Shuttles at Crosspoint Church at 78 Hughes Road will go to Maple Street (east of Madison United Methodist Church). Another shuttle bus will carry visitors from Madison City Stadium at 211 Celtic Drive to Wise Street (which intersects Main Street).

The 2022 Madison Street Festival will be held on Oct. 1.
