Westminster Wildcats Storm Back To Take N2HOOPS Title

MADISON- The Martinson and Beason N2HOOPS Basketball Tournament was held at Bob Jones High with 16 teams hitting the two gyms over three days at the school. The Westminster Wildcats defeated Mae Jemison (65-29), Hartselle (62-41) and Bob Jones (54-45) to advance to the tournament championship game versus the Huffman Vikings. Huffman advanced with wins over Columbia (76-70), Lee (65-42) and Austin (59-55).

In the title game, the game was tied after the first quarter with Huffman taking the lead both at halftime (24-20) and the end of the third quarter (39-36) before the Wildcats had a ferocious fourth quarter comeback to take the seventh annual N2HOOPS championship trophy 53-48. Westminster outscored Huffman 17-9 in the final quarter of play.
