Huntsville Hurricanes to open new season Friday at James Clemens High School

HUNTSVILLE – The Huntsville Hurricanes professional basketball team will begin the 2023 season on Friday, March 3, at James Clemens High School. The Hurricanes will face off against the Cincinnati Warriors at 7 p.m.

A press release from the Hurricanes stated the first two game will be offered with free admission. The second game will also be played at James Clemens on March 5 at 5 p.m. against the Derby City Distillers. There will be pre-game fun prior to both games. It will begin at 5 p.m on March 3 and 2 p.m. for March 5.

According to press release, the 2023 season promises to be an exciting one for the Hurricanes, as the team looks to build on the success of the previous year and make a strong showing in southeast division of The Basketball League (TBL). Their division competes with teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida.

The team said they have been hard at work in the off-season, putting together a roster of talented and highly skilled players from top-rated collegiate programs and world league experience.

“Fans can expect an exciting and engaging game-day experience, featuring top-notch entertainment, food and beverage vendors, and a range of other activities and amenities,” the team stated.

“We’re thrilled to be kicking off the 2023 season with such an exciting game,” said Mojo Jones, General Manager of the Huntsville Hurricanes Professional Basketball Team. “Our players have been working hard all off-season, and we’re excited to see what they can do on the court. We hope our fans will come out in force to support us and make this a truly memorable opening night.”

Tickets for the opening game are free,  and the entire 2023 season are available now and can be purchased online at www.huntsvillehurricanes.com or at the James Clemens box office.
