Chargers finish regular season with 11-8 victory over Lee, heads into playoff action

CLEVELAND, Tenn.- The University of Alabama in Huntsville women’s lacrosse team concluded regular season action over the weekend with an 11-8 victory on the road over Lee. UAH moves to 9-8 (5-1 GSC) while the Flames drop to 8-9 (3-3 GSC).

Chloe Wood and Katie Williams guided the Charger offense with three-goal performances on the afternoon. Wood pushes her season goal-total to a team-best 44.

Isadora Springer and Maya Bronson both logged a pair of goals while Sarah Cole’s first-quarter tally rounded out the Blue & White goal scorers. Springer sits alongside Wood with a roster-high 44 goals on the 2023 campaign.

On the defensive side of the ball, Sara Pagotto scooped up a team-high four ground balls in the game while senior defender Riley Kirby forced three turnovers out of Lee.

Shaina Doser logged 60 minutes of action in net for UAH and made nine saves in the victory to improve her season record to 5-5.

The Chargers will now await seeding for the GSC Women’s Lacrosse Championships. Semifinal matchups will begin on Friday, April 28th and will be hosted by the No. 1 seed.
