Madison Hospital cites pharmacist Jordan Todd as ‘Employee of the Month’

MADISON – As Hospital Pharmacist, Todd “is one of those employees that you know you can always count on,” according to his nomination. “His tireless commitment to fellow coworkers and patients is admirable. This person consistently exceeds expectations and displays excellence in day-to-day performance.”

“This person has impeccable character and takes pride in his work. You can see it in everything this person does and how he carries himself from the moment he steps in the building,” the nomination states.

“Jordan is one of those employees that you would like to clone,” Madison Hospital President Mary Lynne Wright said. “He is extremely bright, caring and giving of his time and expertise.”

“We’re so fortunate to have him on our team at Madison Hospital,” Wright said. “He makes a difference for all of us!”

“Jordan is a true superstar, expertly answering medication-related questions and continually striving to make sure our hospital pharmacy meets the needs of nurses and physicians,” Madison Hospital’s Facebook account states.

“He approaches every situation with the patient’s or the employee’s best interest at heart,” a co-worker said. “He never loses his cool and has a rock-steady temperament.”

As one of Madison Hospital’s unitbased pharmacists, Todd has taken impressive initiative in his role. The nomination said Todd “goes above the call of duty of medication expert by often assisting nurses and is constantly investigating how pharmacy can be a better partner to nurses and physicians. Jordan patiently answers questions and assists patients, families, nurses and physicians. It doesn’t go unnoticed that this person regularly goes above and beyond what is expected.”

Todd is considered “a great teammate to pharmacy colleagues – often helping cover shifts by coming in early or staying late. He serves the hospital as a resource for the Parkinson’s Disease Support Group and representative on the employee shared Governance Committee.”

The nomination dialogue said Todd “is extremely dependable and a great representation for the department and hospital. He consistently exudes strong character. This person is one of those individuals often described ‘as good as gold.’”
