Huntsville Parks and Recreation to host Spin & Skate Jam at The Orion

HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville Parks & Recreation invites all students ages 13-18 to let loose and end Spring Break on a roll with Spin & Skate Jam.

The free event is Saturday, March 15, from 4-8 p.m. at The Orion Amphitheater, 701 Amphitheater Drive NW. Coming at the end of Huntsville City Schools’ Spring Break week, the event will feature a DJ spinning the hottest tracks while teens enjoy roller skating in a fun, high-energy atmosphere.

Teens can bring their own skates or take advantage of on-site rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited availability, teens are encouraged to arrive early if they need to rent skates. Concessions will also be available for purchase. The Orion Amphitheater is a cashless venue, and only debit/ credit cards can be used for purchases.

The event is open to all skill levels, and it’s the perfect way to get active and socialize before heading back to school.

“This event comes at a perfect time for teens to unwind and celebrate the end of Spring Break,” Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett said. “Most of our activities promote fun and fitness, and Spin & Skate Jam checks both of those boxes.”

The event is free, but registration is required before March 8. Go to huntsvilleal.seamlessdocs.com/f/ qkq07ujpies4o to RSVP.
