Midtown Elementary School selects Judi Brown as 2025 Staff Member of the Year

MADISON – Teachers and staff at Midtown Elementary School decided to honor Judi Brown as “2025 Staff Member of the Year.”

“I started in Madison City Schools in 2014 at Bob Jones High School. I worked there for two years until I moved to Rainbow Elementary,” Brown said. With the opening of Midtown Elementary School, Brown transferred to that campus.

Midtown is Brown’s current location. She supports the district’s network in her work as Technology Assistant for Madison City Schools.

“I try to be relaxed in my position, but I want the students to take responsibility for their school-issued devices,” Brown said.

She grew up in Kansas City, Mo. and attended college at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Brown graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

“My husband, Fred, works for The Boeing Company supporting the International Space Station. We have two grown, adult children. Jared lives in Orlando, Fla. and works at EA Sports. Ashley lives in Missouri and is married to Hunter; they have our beautiful granddaughter, Addi,” Judy said.

“An interesting fact that most people do not know is that I was a D1 athlete at the University of Missouri – Kansas City on the Rifle Team during college,” Judi said. “I love to read, spend time with my granddaughter when I can and spend time at the beach!”
