MADISON – The Huntsville-Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame, which pays tribute to the remarkable people who have shaped the rich sporting culture of the local community, is now accepting nominations for its Class of 2026. The new class of inductees will be inducted in the annual ceremony, presented by Huntsville Hospital Sports and TOC, next April 13 at the Von Braun Center.

Nominations may also be submitted digitally at www.hmcahof.com. The necessary forms of submitting a nomination are located there. The website also offers additional information and a gallery of Hall of Fame inductees.

More than 20 different sports are represented in the Hall of Fame among the nearly 400 members. Additional inducted members are from the areas of officiating, news media, education and administration. All members include those with Huntsville-Madison County connections who have excelled at the local, state, national and international levels.

The mission of the HMCAHOF is to honor those who have made a significant impact in the world of athletics while celebrating their achievements and inspiring future generations in athletics. The Hall of Fame has a permanent home at John Hunt Park, just west of Memorial Parkway, with a huge monument signifying the location of the Hall of Fame and all of the inductees’ names engraved on brick pavers in a plaza area just in front of the HOF monument.
