UAH’s 12-match winning streak ends in road loss to Christian Brothers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The UAH volleyball team saw its 12-match winning streak come to an end Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 to Christian Brothers on the road.

The loss marks UAH’s first setback since Oct. 2, snapping more than a month of unbeaten play for the Chargers.

Caroline Moyer and Mary Grace Bundrant led the UAH attack with nine kills each. Sydney Durban contributed two service aces and a team-high 17 digs, while Kayla Ward anchored the defense at the net with four blocks. Anna Clare Hutto guided the offense with 19 assists.

Despite the loss, the Chargers remain one of the Gulf South Conference’s top teams as they continue their road trip next weekend. UAH will visit Montevallo on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m., before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 15, against Auburn Montgomery.

The Chargers will then turn their attention to the GSC Volleyball Championship, which begins Tuesday, Nov. 18. Tournament locations and pairings will be announced at a later date.
