Midtown Elementary School employee arrested for child abuse

Madison Police said they arrested 58-year-old Barbara Tribble of Toney for child abuse. According to a statement from the police department, the charge stemmed from an investigation into the alleged physical assault of a child while she was employed at Midtown Elementary School in Madison. Tribble was taken to the Madison County Jail with a $5000 bail. The statement said the investigation is ongoing and no further information can be released at this time.
