Downtown Madison to host Third Thursday event this Thursday

MADISON – It is that time of month again – time for fun at Main Street Madison’s Third Thursday. The event is bringing family fun, food trucks, local art, vendors, live music, kid’s activities and extended business hours to downtown Madison. It will be held tomorrow, July 16, starting at 5 p.m.

“People can spend the evening exploring Historic Downtown Madison during Third Thursdays on Main. They can shop unique local vendors, discover talented artists, enjoy great food, and experience everything our downtown has to offer,” said MSM Executive Director Jen DeLessio.  “From savory favorites to sweet treats, our food truck lineup is the perfect way to fuel a fun evening at Third Thursdays on Main. We encourage everyone to bring their family, meet friends and enjoy great food while exploring local shops, the Vendor Market, Artist Alley, live music,”

A new feature will be Sips of Summer. Inspired by the Wassail Fest wassail sampling, Sips of Summer will have vendors offering samples of summery drinks.

Live music will be provided by the local music group, Triple Play. This North Alabama-based three-piece covers everything from the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Kiss, and ZZ Top to modern classic rock from Drivin’ N’ Cryin’, Joe Bonamassa, and The Red Clay Strays.

The event will be held along Main Street in Madison’s historic downtown. Vendors will be located in alleys off Main Street, and road closures are not anticipated for the event.

“It is going to be e great evening to explore participating businesses, grab a bite to eat, and experience everything downtown has to offer.,” DeLessio said.
