Huntsville Ballet Company unveils 2026–2027 Season
HUNTSVILLE – Huntsville Ballet announced its dynamic 2026– 2027 season, featuring beloved classics, innovative new works, and immersive audience experiences.
HBC UNPLUGGED
October 23–25, 2026 Dream Theater Performing Arts Center
The season opens with Night Songs, choreographed by Artistic Director Phillip Otto with an original score by Jackson Love. Premiering in 2024 to standing ovations, the work returns by popular demand. Also featured is Beneath the October Moon, choreographed by Gina Guerrera with music by Love—an enchanting Halloween tradition filled with whimsy and magic. Each performance includes a dancer Q&A; matinees invite children to dress in costume, parade, and trick or treat with the dancers.
THE NUTCRACKER
December 11–13, 2026 Mark C. Smith Concert Hall
Huntsville Ballet presents its 56th annual production of The Nutcracker with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Tchaikovsky’s iconic score brings Clara, her Prince, swirling snowflakes, Mother Ginger, and the Sugar Plum Fairy to life in this cherished holiday tradition.
DANCER’S CHOICE SERIES
February 12–14, 2027 HBC Black Box Studio Theater
HBC dancers take the creative lead in this intimate studio series, choreographing and performing original works across diverse genres. Seating is limited; private performances for up to 30 guests may be reserved at 256 539 0961.
THE FIREBIRD AND MORE…
April 16–18, 2027 Mark C. Smith Concert Hall
The season finale features the electrifying fairytale ballet The Firebird, following Prince Ivan, the dazzling Firebird, and the battle against the sorcerer Kostcheï. Stunning choreography and vivid storytelling make this a must see.
