Pageant registration under way

Registration for the 2002 Miss Madison/Miss Bob Jones Pageant is now under way through Sept. 19.
The pageant will be held on Sept. 21 at the school at 11 a.m. for ages 0 to fourth grade and at 6 p.m. for fifth through twelfth grade. Rehearsal times will be posted at registration. If you are unable to register, you may call to find out what time the rehearsal will be held.
Age divisions will be 0-23 months; 2-3 years; 4-5 years; kindergarten; first through twelfth grades. All contestants must attend the Madison City Schools, including Madison Academy.
The pageant is a fundraiser to benefit Bob Jones High School and Discovery Middle School. A rehearsal will take place before the pageant and there will be four categories of judging. They include personality, overall appearance, smile and poise.
Deadline for all entries must be received by Sept. 16 to appear in the program. Do not mail the entry in to any of the schools.

The theme for the pageant will be a tribute to the King and the Queens. Elvis impersonator Michael Dean will provide entertainment at the pageant. He is recognized across the country for his Elvis impersonation and has been featured on national television.
