Matthew Kirkland; Feb. 8, 2011

Matthew Thomas Kirkland, age 31, of Madison died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 in Huntsville.

Matthew was employed with the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for the past 3 years. His hobbies included Boy Scouts, where he was an Eagle Scout and he enjoyed collecting Boy Scout Patches. Matthew also enjoyed computing and collecting Anime.

Survivors include his parents: Pat and Charles Kirkland, of Madison; Sisters: Karen Kirkland, of Arlington, Tenn.; Jenna Kirkland Wright, of Memphis, Tenn.; Brother: Timothy Kirkland of Miramar, Fla.; Maternal Grandparents: Alice and Warren Hedge of Memphis, Tenn.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, Miss.
