Madison Academy hosts fun run
Madison Academy is running full speed.
The school raised $36,000 with a Boosterthon Fun Run on April 8.
Students participated in a 9-day fitness program and a LAUNCH campaign.
The campaign was designed to teach children that leaders are Learners, Active, Uplifting, Not bullies, Courageous and Helpers.
“We created the Boosterthon Fun Run to encourage, empower and equip the next generation of students to change the world,” said Chris Carneal, Booster founder and president. “We combined the fitness focus of a run with leadership principles to create a program that develops students into leaders while resourcing sources.”
The run raises money by getting students to gather pledges from friends and family. Sponsors can donate a flat rate of money per lap to help students raise money for their schools, but all children are included in the fun run regardless of financial contribution.
