Corinne E. Groves; May 31, 2011

Corinne E. Groves, 89, of Madison, formerly of Portland, Tenn. passed away on Tuesday, May 31, in Madison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. Groves and a sister, Lorine Barry.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland, Tenn.

She is survived by her son: Don Groves and his wife Nancy of Madison; Brother: Garvin Harper of Springfield, Tenn.; grandchildren: Tonya R. Qualls and Michele D. Bilbrey, of Cookeville, Tenn.; Donita A. Hugber, of Madison; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home in Portland, Tenn.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home and interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Portland. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison.

Madison Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.
