Man apprehended after car chase in Madison
On the morning of July 1 at 2 a.m., Madison police officers apprehended a driver after a lengthy pursuit that started in Limestone County by Rogersville Police.
Darrell Thomas, 20, was being pursued as a possible shooting suspect. Limestone County deputies requested assistance from Madison Police who joined the pursuit on Hwy 72 at Wall-Triana Hwy.
The suspect, who was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe, went south on Wall-Triana before driving into a ditch in front of Paradise Apartments.
The driver got out of the vehicle and ran on foot. He was apprehended shortly thereafter by Madison officers on Village Lane. No injuries were sustained during the pursuit. The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from Huntsville.
